# Abilities as Default Functions / Способности как функции по умолчанию

**Abilities as Default Functions** is the idea that subtle perception, sensing, field reading, body knowing and interaction with reality are not external talents to acquire. They are functions of being.

The source material says:

> What do I do to see? Nothing. I see.  
> What do I do to be a brunette? Nothing. It is my being.

The task is not to create the ability from zero. The task is to recognize the ability and learn to manage it.

## Core distinction

- Ability itself = given function / being.
- Management of ability = training, practice, responsibility, rhythm.

A child has the ability to walk, but learns to manage the body. A person has the ability to perceive, but may need to train the field to use that perception cleanly.

## Types of abilities

- body abilities: seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, sensing;
- psyche abilities: withstanding reality, living feelings, tracking emotions;
- state abilities: transmitting and receiving states;
- field abilities: scanning reality, co-creating events, perceiving subtle signals.

## How abilities close

Abilities themselves do not disappear. The person closes from the world.

Reasons may include:

- adults did not recognize what the child perceived;
- the child read adult fear;
- the mind decided “it only seemed so”; 
- trust in one's perception decreased;
- a glass wall appeared between the person and the subtle world / team;
- the person chose a protective bunker instead of interaction.

The volume of manifestation equals the volume of recognized abilities.

This includes money, creative work, relationships and path. A person may have more ability than they are willing to recognize, so their outer reality reflects recognition rather than true capacity.
