# Short Interpretive Transition Trial

Use this reference for a cold-entry Cosmos Luminosity experience that must create a non-obvious insight without requiring long written reflection.

## Product contract

**Input burden:** 4–6 minutes, six screens, mostly choices, one optional short comment.

**Output:** one primary possible reading, one alternative reading, three grounds, one explicit unknown, and one experiment that distinguishes competing explanations.

**Not allowed:** score, type, diagnosis, prediction, formatted transcript, or asking the woman to formulate the interpretation herself.

## Six-screen input architecture

1. **Presenting question** — leave profession; change role; stop working this way; externally successful but no longer mine; next chapter sensed but unclear.
2. **Where resistance appears** — rescue; permanent availability; repetition without growth; decisions without influence; performing an old self; loss of meaning; resistance even under good conditions. Limit to two.
3. **Counterfactual** — with protected income, fitting team, calmer pace and respected boundaries: interest returns; partly returns; work itself remains dead; mastery yes/role no; too depleted to tell.
4. **Living action** — create; explain; direct; connect; solve; reveal possibility; build systems; make ideas tangible; none. Limit to two.
5. **Holding function + protection strategy** — hardest loss (income/status/competence/belonging/influence/structure/sunk investment/successful self-image) and usual response (more research/exit fantasy/minimize/improve current role/talk without external test/already testing).
6. **Signal divergence** — what mind says, what body relaxes toward, and what actual behavior shows.

## Interpretation contract

The synthesis must answer:

1. What question did she arrive with?
2. Where may the real decision sit instead?
3. What may she not be noticing?
4. Which three selected signals support that reading?
5. What is a credible alternative reading?
6. What cannot yet be concluded?
7. What bounded experiment would distinguish the explanations?
8. What observable evidence matters?

Never output every answer merely reorganized under headings.

## Pattern classes

### Price of participation, not profession
Signals: interest returns under better conditions; tension centers on availability/rescue/agency/old-self performance; body favors redesign.

### Mastery alive, identity/context ending
Signals: work itself remains dead or only mastery remains; living action exists elsewhere; feared loss is status, belonging, competence, sunk investment, or successful identity.

### Ambition changing form
Signals: rescue/availability strain; living action involves direction, creation, or complex problem-solving; feared loss concerns influence, competence, or image.

### Analysis protecting beginner status
Signals: more research; old content does not revive; competence/status/image is threatened; little external testing.

### Exit fantasy compensating for missing freedom
Signals: imagined dramatic exit without tests; interest returns under better conditions; body favors redesign; strain centers on boundaries or agency.

### Depletion obscuring discernment
Signals: cannot feel the counterfactual; no living action; body relaxes toward none. Do not interpret numbness as evidence for leaving or staying.

### Mixed transition
Signals conflict without a clear dominant pattern. Use two controlled comparisons rather than a verdict.

## Experiment rule

An experiment must distinguish two explanations. Examples:

- Same content, changed boundary → tests profession vs. participation conditions.
- Same mastery, new context → tests mastery loss vs. identity/context ending.
- High-impact task without rescue → tests ambition loss vs. rejection of indispensability.
- Pause research and create one external prototype → tests lack of clarity vs. avoidance of beginner status.
- Protected recovery interval before comparing options → tests completion vs. depletion.

## Acceptance tests

- Complete with approximately 12–16 selections and no required essay.
- Multiple-choice limits are enforced and explained.
- Opposing fixtures produce different pattern classes.
- Every result includes evidence, counter-reading, unknown, and discriminating experiment.
- The result is visible, populated, printable, copyable, and free of form controls.
- No result claims certainty or tells the woman to resign, stay, or adopt a new identity.
